Bible Reading Plan: Day 23

“And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose” Romans 8:28.

I’m not suggesting life will be all good, or even mostly good. There’s comfort in the knowledge that when we are ‘called according to his purpose’ there is a bigger picture than the one we see. I cannot expect my life to be characterised by moment after moment of happiness, but I can expect to find contentment and fulfilment in bringing my purpose into alignment with His.
