Last year I made my way through the Life Application Study Bible Devotion, aligned to the New Living Translation, and made freely available by YouVersion. I enjoyed the variety of verses highlighted by this plan, but for 2012 I am keen to follow a more challenging reading plan.  Hence, I began the M’Cheyne One Year Reading Plan on the 1st January, 2012. I like the ease of using YouVersion for keeping track of the set readings, as well as for accountability. I have an ESV Bible on hand that I have begun to use as my main reader, though I will use a combination of offline and online reading modes as the demands of my life ebb and flow throughout the year.

Being an avid, long-time user of Twitter, I am delighted to find there are others already using the hashtag #mcheyne to tweet their progress, quotes, thoughts and questions. I hope this will be a continued source of encouragement and motivation. I plan to post on my blog here, as well as Twitter. 

My prayer is that 2012 will be a year of fresh insight and growing wisdom in our Lord Jesus Christ!
